We welcome educational and youth groups to use the Dunster Estate as an educational resource. We can advise organisers of groups as to the best way to make the most from a visit to the estate, and may be able to guide or lend assistance for educational and youth events.
The Dunster Estate offers the following to educational and youth groups:
• Visits to a working forest, with opportunities to see forestry machinery in action and to find out more about the forest management.
• Potential for visits to working farms on the estate.
• Opportunities to get involved in biological surveys and recording for heathland and woodland species.
• Access to our forest ‘classroom’ near Blue Anchor.
• Opportunities to get involved in practical conservation and maintenance tasks. ![]()
• Waymarked trails, Orienteering trail, adventure playground and all abilities access trail.
• Access to the forest for informal educational activities.
• Access to experienced forestry and ranger staff.
Please note that due to operational requirements, not all facilities and services are available all year round.
Organisers should contact the estate office (info@dunsterestate.co.uk) for details on availability and how to book any of the above facilities and services.
